Seven-seed Texas will take on two-seed Tennessee in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Longhorns advanced to the second round after a win over Colorado State on Thursday while Tennessee made it out of the first round with a resounding win over Saint Peter’s in the nightcap.

With a hoe-and-home taking place between the two teams over the past two seasons, Saturday’s matchup will feature more familiarity than usual for a non-conference foe. Texas beat Tennessee in Austin during the 2022 season while Tennessee returned the favor with a win in Knoxville in 2023.

Ahead of the matchup on Saturday, Texas forward Brock Cunningham, forward Dylan Disu, and guard Max Abmas met with the media to give their thoughts on the upcoming game. Texas head coach and former Rick Barnes assistant coach Rodney Terry spoke with the media after his players on Friday.
