Tennessee is off and running with spring camp workouts with three practices under their belt this week.

After practice in Knoxville on Thursday morning, Tennessee offensive coordinator and quarterback’s coach Joey Halzle met with the media to break down the first few days and preview what’s to come this spring. The Vols will continue with spring workouts until the 2024 Orange & White game on Saturday, April 13, in Neyland Stadium.

Halzle spoke about some of Tennessee’s newcomers including QB Jake Merklinger, TE Holden Staes, and OT Lance Heard. Halzle also spent a good amount of time answering questions about Tennessee starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava and his leadership growth from year one to year two. Halzle also spoke about the big emphasis for Iamaleava during workouts this spring.
