Tennessee baseball extended its winning streak to 15 games last week by running the table with a 5-0 week as the Vols won two midweek games and swept a home weekend series.

While Tennessee has played a lot of soft competition in its 15 game winning streak, they picked up four wins against power five competition last week.

The Vols blew out a solid Kansas State team and swept Illinois over the course of the weekend and outscored the Fighting Illini 38-7 over the course of the weekend. Tennessee also earned a narrow 2-1 win over Southern Indiana on Wednesday night.

Tennessee’s offense keeps mashing including first baseman Blake Burke who has been fantastic for Vol baseball to date this season. Burke has shown improvement at the plate and in the field as Tennessee’s jumped out to a 16-1 record.

On the mound, Jacksonville State transfer AJ Causey and Wichita State transfer Nate Snead continued strong seasons with dominant outing. Causey shut down Illinois with an impressive start on Friday night and Snead was fantastic in long relief outings against Kansas State and against Illinois on Sunday.

After another 5-0 week and four wins against power five competition, Tennessee baseball moved up the rankings this week. Here’s where they land in different rankings.
