Tennessee Basketball Preparing For Massive Recruiting Weekend Around Kentucky Game

Tennessee basketball is preparing for a big recruiting weekend around Saturday afternoon’s rivalry matchup against No. 15 Kentucky at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.

The Vols will host four blue-chip recruits— two in the 2025 recruiting cycle and two in the 2026 recruiting cycle— for unofficial visits around the top 15 matchup.

In the 2025 recruiting cycle, four-star forward Tylis Jordan and four-star point guard Chance Mallory are unofficially visiting Tennessee. In the 2026 recruiting cycle, five-star wing Caleb Holt and four-star shooting guard Gabriel Sularski.

Tennessee has long targeted Jordan in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-9 wing ranks as the No. 75 player and No. 14 small forward in his recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. Jordan unofficially visited Tennessee back in the fall and is one of the most sought after players in the south.

The Shiloh, Georgia native’s taken two visits to Alabama as well as a single visit to Auburn, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and LSU to this point in his recruitment.

Mallory is a point guard from Charlottesville, Virginia who is making his first trip to Tennessee to date. The 5-foot-10 prospect ranks as the No. 97 player and the No. 15 point guard in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings.

East coast schools have dominated Mallory’s recruitment to date with the four-star recruiting having visited Clemson, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia to date.

While he’s just a sophomore in high school, Holt is the most highly touted prospect visiting Tennessee basketball this weekend. The New Market, Alabama native ranks as a five-star recruit and the No. 4 player in the 2026 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings.

The top shooting guard in the 2026 recruiting cycle is taking his first trip to Tennessee this weekend and has already visited Auburn three times, Alabama twice and Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Houston once.

Sularski is the final recruit visiting Tennessee this weekend. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard ranks as the No. 52 player and No. 14 shooting guard in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. An Illinois native, Sularski has mostly visited Big 10 schools to date including three trips to Michigan State and one visit Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin and Indiana.

Tipoff between Tennessee and Kentucky is at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. CBS is broadcasting the game.
