Tennessee knocked off Kentucky 103-92 in Lexington the first weekend of January. That game sparked the hot streak that’s seen the Vols win nine of their last 10 games.

The Wildcats have played better since that meeting too winning seven of their nine games since. However, Kentucky still has many of the same defensive deficiencies that plagued them in the first meeting while its offense remains one of the very best in the country.

Tennessee is looking for its second regular season sweep of Kentucky during Barnes tenure after previously doing so in 2017-18. The Vols have knocked off Kentucky two more times in a single season thanks to SEC Tournament wins in 2019 and again in 2022.

While Tennessee has already clinched the SEC Regular Season Championship, its rivalry matchup against Kentucky is still a very meaningful game due to its hopes of earning the final one-seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Vols currently hold the final one-seed in latest bracketology updates and could potentially lock up the spot with a win over the Wildcats.

Tipoff between Tennessee and Kentucky is at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. Ian Eagle, Grant Hill and Bill Raftery are on the call for CBS.
