Tennessee baseball extended its winning streak to 10 games this week after knocking off High Point in the midweek and sweeping Bowling Green in a three-game series this weekend.

The Vols run-ruled Bowling Green in all three games of the weekend series, outscoring the Falcons 39-8 over the course of the weekend.

Tony Vitello mixed up his weekend rotation for the first time all season with AJ Causey filling in for AJ Russell, who skipped a start with side soreness, and Derek Schaefer starting for Zander Sechrist on Sunday. Causey was absolutely dominant in his first Tennessee start, allowing just one run, one hit and one walk while striking out nine batters in seven innings pitched.

Nearly every Tennessee batter had big weekends which typically happens when you score 39 runs in three games. But catcher Cannon Peebles, third baseman Billy Amick and first baseman Blake Burke led the way. The trio combined to hit 17-of-28 with five doubles, six home runs and 14 RBIs.

Tennessee is nine games through its 14-game home stand before SEC play begins and is currently unbeaten at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols play midweek games against Kansas State and Southern Indiana before hosting Illinois for a weekend series.
