A trio of former Tennessee Volunteers are set to participate in the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine this week in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Among the 321 total participants at this week’s event in Lucas Oil Stadium will be Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III, Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright, and Tennessee cornerback Kamal Hadden.

The NFL Combine will officially begin on Monday with off-field activities. The NFL prospects won’t actually take the field for on-field workouts until Thursday.

Hadden will be the first of the Tennessee trio to take the field with the defensive backs and tight ends being evaluated on Friday, Mar. 1, starting at 3:00 p.m. ET. The 6-foot-1 cornerback had a breakout season in 2023 en route to establishing himself as one of the SEC’s top cornerbacks. Hadden did not give up a touchdown pass during his 2023 season, which was cut short due to a season-ending injury after the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa.

Hadden finished the 2023 season with three interceptions, one pick-six, and 19 tackles in seven games played during the fall.

Milton and Wright will see action on Saturday as the running backs, quarterbacks, and wide receivers begin their evaluation period at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Wright declared for the NFL Draft after a tremendous 1,012-yard season in Knoxville in 2023, the 19th 1,000-yard season in Tennessee program history.

Following the end of the regular season, Wright made the decision to opt out of Tennessee’s postseason and did not play in the Citrus Bowl, instead working to prepare himself for this week’s NFL Draft. The junior running back did receive an invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl but did not participate as he was rehabbing an injury.

While Wright was not able to play in Mobile, Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton did. The former Vol will be in Indianapolis this week as coaches and scouts get an up-close look at what some are saying is the best arm in the entire draft.

ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum compared Milton to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on Sunday morning’s episode of SportsCenter, saying that Milton’s big task ahead is to “harness his arm strength with a little bit of accuracy.”

During his lone full season starting as the Tennessee quarterback in 2023, Milton ended his 12-game season with 2,813 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and five interceptions on 229-of-354 passing. Milton also added 299 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Here’s a look at when Tennessee’s trio of players will be going through on-field workouts this week at the 2024 NFL Combine:
