Four-Star Offensive Tackle Announces Tennessee Official Visit Date

Four-star offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews has ironed when he’s going to go on his official visits. Matthews will officially visit Tennessee football on June 14, he announced on X Friday morning.

Matthews has announced a number of official visits dates in the last week including a March official visit to Miami and June official visits to Syracuse and Georgia. The blue-chip recruit is visiting Syracuse before his trip to Tennessee and Georgia after his visit to Tennessee.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive tackle also plans on officially visiting Rutgers according to his X posts but he hasn’t yet ironed out the official visit date.

Matthews ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 98 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Toms Rivers, New Jersey native ranks as the No. 3 prospect in his state and the No. 11 offensive tackle prospect in the country.

Josh Heupel, Glen Elarbee and the Vols have long targeted Matthews as one of their top offensive lineman targets in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Highly touted Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre has made Matthews a key target and the blue-chip offensive tackle unofficially visited Tennessee last month for a Junior Day.

Matthews has taken four total visits to Penn State, two visits to Rutgers and one visit to both Georgia and Syracuse as well as Tennessee.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently boasts six commits but none of them are currently from offensive linemen. The Vols’ six-player recruiting class currently ranks No. 10 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
