WATCH: Tony Vitello Reacts to Tennessee Baseball’s Season-Opening Win Over Texas Tech

Following Tennessee baseball’s 6-2 season-opening victory over Texas Tech on Friday night in Arlington, Texas, head coach Tony Vitello met with the media to discuss his thoughts on the win.

Vitello discussed a wide range of topics but primarily focused on his thoughts regarding the performances of pitchers AJ Russell and AJ Causey.

Russell started the game and struck out 10 batters while allowing three hits and two earned runs in 4.1 innings of work, and Causey pitched the remainder of the game (4.2 innings) while striking out seven and allowing just two baserunners.

Combined, the two Volunteer pitchers surrendered one walk.
