Tennessee basketball led by 30-plus points at halftime and railroaded Vanderbilt on its way to an 88-53 over its instate rival.

The Vols hit 10 of their first 12 shots and quickly took a double-digit lead that would never become single digits again. Santiago Vescovi hit a triple as the first half expired that gave Tennessee a 51-20 advantage.

Tennessee’s offense was extremely balanced with seven different players scoring eight-plus points and five Vols scoring in double digits. Zakai Zeigler and Dalton Knecht led the way for Tennessee with each totaling 14 points in the win.

The junior point guard was incredibly efficient, shooting five-of-six from the field and four-of-five from three-point range while dishing out five assists and recording zero turnovers.

Leading by 40 points early in the second half, Tennessee was able to rest its starters for the game’s final 10 minutes and got an abundance of playing time for freshmen Cade Phillips, Cam Carr and Freddie Dilione.

Following the game RTI’s Ric Butler and Ryan Schumpert discussed the massive win and the most encouraging parts of the Vols’ victories. Check it out here.
