Clemson transfer Billy Amick was one of the most highly touted baseball players in the transfer portal last summer when he chose Tony Vitello and the Vols over Florida, Texas A&M, South Carolina and North Carolina.
It didn’t take Amick long to show why.
The Vols’ starting third baseman drove in the first runs of Tennessee’s season in his second at-bat as a Vol. Amick sent a two-run homer off the right field foul pole to give Tennessee a 2-0 lead over Texas Tech on Friday night.
Check out the two-run opposite field blast here.
