No. 6 Tennessee (16-5, 6-2 SEC) will host LSU (12-9, 4-4 SEC) this Wednesday night in the Food City Center at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Vols are coming off of a big win over Kentucky in Rupp Arena this past weekend while LSU pulled in a big home win over Arkansas to stop a three-game slide.

The game’s television broadcast will be on the SEC Network.

Ahead of the game coming up on Wednesday, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes and forward Tobe Awaka met with the media to close down their reactions to the Vols’ win over Kentucky and share their thoughts on the upcoming LSU game in Knoxville.

Barnes spoke about freshman Cam Carr getting some productive minutes on Saturday, the challenge of trying to build consistency off of the win against Kentucky, Tobe Awaka’s play against the Wildcats, and some early thoughts on LSU.

“Coach McMahon does a really good job,” Barnes said about the Tigers. “He’s been successful everywhere he’s been, able to build his roster. He walked into a very difficult situation a year but was able to use the portal to get what he felt like he needed to continue to build the program the way that he wanted to build it. Very explosive team. They’re very difficult to guard. A lot like Kentucky, can make extremely difficult shots even if you guard them. Really good schemes.”
