Four-star offensive tackle Carde Smith is visiting Tennessee football this weekend as part of a major recruiting weekend for the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Smith ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 220 player and No. 19 offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Mobile native also ranks as the 13th best player in the state of Alabama.

Smith is one of two class of 2025 blue-chip offensive tackles visiting Tennessee this weekend as well as Arizona prospect Logan Powell. Tennessee is also a major player in the recruitment of five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr.

Smith is in the very beginning of the recruiting process and is taking his first visit to Tennessee this weekend. The blue-chip offensive tackle has taken just two visits during his recruitment so far, seeing Florida State in October and Auburn in November.

Tennessee football’s class of 2025 recruiting class currently contains five commitments but none of them are from offensive linemen. Three of the five commits are defensive backs, one is a running back and one is a tight end. The Vols’ top recruiting target in the 2025 cycle, five-star quarterback George MacIntyre, is also announcing his college commitment on Monday morning.

Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 12 nationally and a commitment from MacIntyre would boost it to No. 9 according to the 247sports team rankings.
