Lampley concluded his long message with “Tennessee is my home. Tennessee is my family, and Tennessee is who I am.”
“I could not be more excited about the future of this program,” Lampley continued. “That is why I am coming back for my sixth and final season of college football, and I am coming back to Tennessee.”
Lampley is the second Tennessee offensive lineman to announce that he is returning for a sixth season this week, joining Dayne Davis, who did on Thursday.

Additionally, Lampley is the fourth senior Tennessee offensive lineman to announce his return this offseason, joining left tackle John Campbell Jr., center Cooper Mays and right tackle Dayne Davis.
Lampley has been with the Tennessee program since 2019. After seeing little to no action in his first two seasons, Lampley has been among the top reserve interior offensive linemen each of the past three seasons.
While Lampley will likely not be a starter for Tennessee this fall, his experience is certainly welcomed for one of the Vols’ most shallow units.
The last domino to fall for Tennessee’s offensive line will be Javontez Spraggins, who is yet to make a decision on his future.
