Tennessee basketball’s Tuesday night matchup against Florida is moving up two-hours from 7 p.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET, Tennessee announced on Monday night.
ESPN2 is broadcasting the game. It is currently unclear how the start time change affects the broadcast.
Snow hit Knoxville late Sunday night and has continued nonstop to the time of publication with the Weather Channel estimating 11 inches of snowfall so far with three more inches on the way before tipoff on Tuesday evening.
The inclement weather makes for a potentially severely limited crowd at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center, but after Florida’s flight made it in to Knoxville late Monday afternoon it made postponing the game to a later date extremely unlikely.

Tennessee enters Tuesday evening’s matchup 12-4 (2-1 SEC) and coming off a 1-1 week that saw a comeback bid come up just short at Mississippi State before blowing a 14-point first half lead and overcoming an 11-point second half deficit to defeat Georgia.
The Vols are 8-0 at home this season and are looking to continue the run in two big conference games this week. They’ll have to do it in front of a limit crowd against the Gators.
Florida enters the week 11-5 (1-2 SEC) and coming off a week where they suffered a blowout loss at Ole Miss before blowing Arkansas out at home. The Gators are a bubble team and upsetting Tennessee in Knoxville would be massive for their postseason hopes.
Tennessee opened as 10.5-point favorites against Florida with the over/under set at 160.5 according to Draft Kings.
