Walker spent two-seasons at Tennessee after spending his first three collegiate seasons playing in the ACC at Georgia Tech. The Nashville native spent his first year in Knoxville as a backup safety before stepping into the starting role in his redshirt senior season.
The redshirt senior started 10 games for Tennessee in 2023, totaling 53 tackles, two pass deflections, one sack and one forced fumble. Walker earned the fifth highest PFF grade amongst Tennessee defensive backs last season, earning a 70.6 grade.

In his two-year Tennessee career, Walker totaled 89 tackles, two sacks, an interception and six pass deflections.
Walker now joins a Louisville program that had a disappointing finish to a strong first season under head coach Jeff Brohm. The Cardinals started the season 10-1 before dropping their final three games of the season to Kentucky, Florida State (ACC Championship) and Southern Cal (Holiday Bowl).
Tennessee is looking to replace both of its starting safeties from the 2023 season with Walker transferring to Louisville and Jaylen McCollough out of eligibility. Former Ohio State transfer Andre Turrentine started the final three games of the season in Walker’s place.
The Vols added MTSU safety transfer Jakobe Thomas to the roster this offseason and are also looking to develop young safeties John Slaughter and Jourdan Thomas.
