Just a few weeks after climbing a new rung on the all-time coaching wins list, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes has another impressive milestone under his belt.

According to a post from Tennessee Stats & Info on X on Thursday, the Vols’ 87-50 win over Norfolk State gives Barnes a total of 200 different coaches defeated during his long, strong coaching career.

The win over Norfolk State’s Robert Jones is the fourth new coach that Rick Barnes has defeated this year, joining Tarleton State, Georgia Southern, and George Mason’s head coaches.

Rick Barnes has a 789-409 record over his 37-year coaching career including a 185-95 record at the University of Tennessee – which also includes the Vols’ current 10-3 record through the first 13 games of the season.

Barnes has 27 NCAA tournament appearances, four regular-season conference championships, and two conference tournament champions under his belt during his career.

With Tennessee’s win over NC State on December 17, Barnes hit sole possession of No. 14 in the all-time coaching wins list. The ninth-year Tennessee head coach was also nominated for the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame just a few days later for the first time in his coaching career.

Year 37 has provided some good milestone moments for Barnes, but the Tennessee head coach and the Volunteers are still working hard to bring a championship back to Knoxville by the end of the season.

No. 5 Tennessee will host No. 22 Ole Miss in the SEC opener in Knoxville this Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
