The 2023 college football season isn’t over with Michigan and Washington meeting in the National Championship game on Monday night. But it’s not too early to start taking a look ahead at the 2024 college football season.
BetOnline released its inaugural 2024 National Championship odds on Wednesday with Tennessee coming in at 25/1 to reach college football’s mountaintop.
Tennessee has the sixth best odds amongst SEC teams to win the National Championship coming in behind Alabama and Georgia (5/1), Texas (9/1), LSU (12/1) and Ole Miss (14/1). Texas A&M (33/1) and Oklahoma (40/1) come in directly behind Tennessee in the National Championship odds.

The Vols are coming off a 9-4 (4-4 SEC) season that saw them lose to rivals Alabama, Florida and and Georgia and with a Citrus Bowl win over No. 17 Iowa.
Tennessee is returning an abundance of players along both lines of scrimmage as well as linebacker and receiver. The Vols will have an abundance of transition at running back, tight end, in the secondary and most prominently at quarterback where redshirt freshman Nico Iamaleava is stepping into the starting quarterback spot.
The 2024 college football season is the first with a 16-team SEC and a 12-team playoff. Tennessee’s schedule included a non conference matchup against North Carolina State and conference matchups with Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma.
