Army vs. Navy Betting Preview
Army’s Strong Defensive Showing
Army’s passing defense is top 25 in the nation, but their rushing defense is 120th in the country, allowing 188 yards per game on the ground. However, teams have not been able to convert yards into points in the last few weeks. In their last three games, they have held opposing offenses scoreless on the ground, including Air Force, who has the fourth most rushing touchdowns in the country. Black Knights’ starting QB Bryson Daily started the season throwing for 100-plus yards in five consecutive games. He also threw six touchdowns in that period as well. His passing attempts have been down since then, but they could go back to it against one of the worst pass defenses in the country. With men stacked in the box to stop the run game, which Army thrives in, they’ll have a sufficient number of big-play opportunities through the air. Whether or not Navy can minimize those big play opportunities is going to be critical to their success.

The Black Knights are slight favorites and that’s likely because they have more than one way to win a game offensively. A big play or two in this low-scoring affair would have more of an impact than normal, and it’s Army that has that ability. Take Army to cover the point spread.
