Tennessee reserve freshman defensive back Jack Luttrell entered the transfer portal on Monday, according to a report from On3 Sports. Luttrell’s social media bio also confirms that he is looking for a new home.
Luttrell’s X bio now reads: “redshirt freshman @ ???. transfer portal.” along with his business email address.
Luttrell found playing time on special teams in three games this season against Austin Peay, Texas-San Antonio, and Florida this past September.
The six-foot, 180-pound is from Gainesville, Georgia, and played his high school ball for Colquitt County, leading them to a 7A state semifinal finish in 2022 after an undefeated regular season. Luttrell originally committed to Tennessee as a three-star recruit and was the Vols’ first commitment in the 2023 class.

Luttrell is the fourth Tennessee player and the third Tennessee defensive back to enter the transfer portal.
Tennessee also has transfer portal activity from redshirt senior defensive back Warren Burrell, redshirt senior defensive back Brandon Turnage, and redshirt freshman offensive lineman Mo Clipper Jr.
