Per a report from Adam Sparks of the Knoxville News Sentinel, Tennessee football star defensive end James Pearce Jr. has been arrested for disobeying police instruction during a traffic stop for speeding.
According to the Knows News report, Pearce was stopped doing 63 mph in a 35 mph zone on Western Avenue. After getting pulled over, Pearce refused to follow police instruction, which led to the arrest.

Additionally, Pearce had a suspended license in North Carolina.
Pearce was officially charged with speeding and driving on a suspended license among other things on Monday morning.
Pearce is coming off a tremendous sophomore season on Rocky Top in which he recorded 8.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. The Charlotte, North Carolina, native’s sack total ranked first among SEC defensive linemen this season.
The four-star recruit figures to be Tennessee’s most important returner on the defensive side of the ball heading into 2024.

Why was his vehicle searched. Did he give permission. Eben though he was being arrested in misdemeanor citation unless he gave permission his car should not have been searched.
