Tennessee football commit Boo Carter had quite the high school senior season, leading Bradley Central High School to a 13-1 record and a Division 6A state semifinals appearance.

Carter put up video game highlights and showed his ability to turn any touch into a touchdown with his dynamic playmaking ability.

And Carter’s season stats are just as much video game like as his best highlights are. The four-star recruit totaled 1,795 all purpose yards and 27 total touchdowns during his senior season while making plays as a returner, running back and predominately receiver.

However, Carter will likely start his collegiate career by playing on the other side of the ball. Ranked as an athlete by most recruiting services, Carter could effectively play on either side of the field in Knoxville but will likely start his career as a safety.

The Chattanooga area prospect put up some strong statistics on the defensive side of the ball too totaling 102 tackles and two interceptions in his 14-game season.

Carter ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 146 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Bradley Central standout also ranks as the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee.

The Vols made Carter on their top recruiting targets early in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Carter committed to Josh Heupel and his staff in June over a top group which included Colorado and Michigan. At Bradley Central, Carter is teammates with fellow Tennessee commit Marcus Goree Jr.
