No one in the Southeastern Conference packed their stadium as well as Tennessee did this past season.

According to a press release from UT Athletics this week, Tennessee topped the SEC in both total attendance and average home attendance.

The Vols’ fanbase packed the house and sold out all seven home games of the season. Neyland Stadium, the third-largest stadium in the SEC, holds a capacity of 101,915 spectators. Tennessee’s home average ended right at 101,915 because of the sellouts.

Additionally, the 2023 season was Tennessee’s highest average attendance since the 2007 season which saw Tennessee average 103,918 spectators according to UT Sports.

Tennessee’s average home attendance ranked fourth in the nation behind Michigan (109,971), Penn State (108,409), and Ohio State (103,792).

Tennessee also topped the Southeastern Conference in total attendance this season. The Vols come in right at 713,405 spectators throughout the seven-game home slate.

Tennessee lands in front of LSU (705,191), Alabama (700,539), Texas A&M (694,639), and Georgia (649,222) from the SEC.

The Vols’ total attendance comes in third nationally, only trailing Michigan (769,797) and Penn State (758,864).

Tennessee currently has a 13-game sellout streak after the Vanderbilt regular-season finale in Knoxville in late November.

“The Vols have drawn an accumulated attendance of 2,108,220 in the [Danny] White/[Josh] Heupel era (22 games, 2021-present),” Tennessee wrote in a press release this week.

The Vols brought out several stars and legends to Neyland Stadium during the 2023 regular season, too.

Tennessee’s guest list this past season included the likes of VFL Peyton Manning, Dolly Parton, VFL Hendon Hooker, VFL Alvin Kamara, VFL Alontae Taylor, VFL Eric Berry, VFL Trey Smith, the 1998 National Championship team, and VFL Inky Johnson.
