Four-Star Tennessee Flip Target Sticking With Missouri Commitment

Four-star defensive lineman Elias Williams is sticking with his Missouri commitment, he shared in an X (formerly known as Twitter) post Tuesday night.

Williams thanked coaches at Alabama, Florida State, Southern Cal and Tennessee before announcing that his recruitment is completely shut down.

The Hudson, Florida native ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 430 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Williams ranks as the 50th best defensive lineman and the 55th best player in Florida in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Williams committed to Missouri in early September but still took visits after making his decision including an October unofficial visit and a November official visit to Tennessee.

LSU and USC both offered Williams after he committed to Missouri and the four-star recruit officially visited Alabama earlier this month.

Tennessee football’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains 20 total commitments including from four defensive linemen. Five-star edge rusher Jordan Ross is the Vols’ highest rated defensive player in their 2024 recruiting class.

The Vols’ 2024 recruiting class ranks 12th nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
