Tennessee redshirt senior offensive lineman received his first career SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honor after his performance in the Vols’ regular season finale victory against Vanderbilt this past Saturday in Neyland Stadium.
The announcement from the SEC came down on Monday.
With Tennessee hurting from injuries throughout the season, Davis started his second consecutive game at right tackle on the Vols’ offensive line against Vanderbilt. According to Tennessee Athletics, Davis did not allow a sack, quarterback hit, or penalty during his 55 snaps of action against in-state rival Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Tennessee’s offense racked up an impressive 617 total yards of offense including 168 yards on the ground. Saturday also marked Tennessee’s second game of gaining 600+ offensive yards this season.
