Tennessee football honored a massive senior class at Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon before the Vols hosted Vanderbilt for its regular season fine.

Due to COVID-19 eligibility relief, it was a massive 42-player senior class which included redshirt seniors, super seniors and regular seniors. Because of those same COVID-19 eligibility rules, a number of Tennessee seniors still have eligibility remaining.

Let’s start by taking a look at Tennessee’s seniors who went through Senior Day festivities including Bru McCoy, Jabari Small and 33 others.

But what about the Tennessee seniors who didn’t go through Senior Day festivities? There were seven in total a number of key players.

The list includes Dayne Davis, Doneiko Slaughter, Jackson Lampley, Tamarion McDonald, Cooper Mays, Keenan Pili and Javontez Spraggins. While players not going through Senior Day doesn’t mean that they will return for another season it is a decent indicator of players considering returning for another season.

Mays and Spraggins have both been lynchpins of the interior of Tennessee’s offensive line in recent years. With four of the Vols’ five starting offensive linemen being seniors, Mays and/or Spraggins returning would be a major boost for the Vols.

McDonald has been the Vols’ starting STAR all season while Keenan Pili was one of the Vols’ starting linebackers before suffering an injury in their season opener against Virginia.

Slaughter started the season as a backup at cornerback but moved into the starting lineup after Kamal Hadden suffered a season ending injury against Alabama. Davis is a backup offensive tackle but ,like Slaughter, he’s played this season due to injuries.
