Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and a pair of Vol seniors met with the media on Monday afternoon in Knoxville to kick off the week ahead.

Saturday’s game will symbolize the finale of the regular season schedule as the Vols also host Senior Day and Salute to Service against in-state rival Vanderbilt in Neyland Stadium.

AP No. 25 Tennessee (7-4, 3-4 SEC) will take on Vanderbilt (2-9, 0-7 SEC) at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday as the Vols look to cap off the season with a win after two straight losses to Missouri and Georgia.

Heupel hit a number of different topics on Monday including injuries to the team, the mindset in the building coming out of the Georgia loss, offensive struggles late in the season, Vanderbilt, and much more.

Heupel also spoke about Tennessee’s senior class on Monday.

“It’s a really special group of guys that have been through some uncertainty during the course of the program (and) chose to stay when I arrived,” Heupel said. “A lot of these guys have been instrumental in helping turn the culture and turn our program around. It’s a special group — how they’ve performed but also just who they are as people. I’m really proud of them.”

Tennessee also had senior offensive lineman Ollie Lane and senior wide receiver Ramel Keyton speak to the media on Monday.
