Georgia opened as anywhere from an eight-point to 10-point favorite on Sunday with most sportsbooks landing in the middle with the Bulldogs as nine-point favorites. The line quickly moved in Georgia’s favor after coming out on Sunday as most public money is on the Bulldogs to cover the spread.
Tennessee is 5-4 against the spread this season. The Vols are 3-3 against the spread in SEC games, failing to cover against Florida, Missouri and Alabama but doing so at home against South Carolina and Texas A&M and at Kentucky. Georgia is just 2-7 against the spread this season as the two-time defending national champions have been massive favorites frequently all year. The Bulldogs are 2-5 against the spread in SEC games this season. The over has hit in five Georgia games this season while the under has hit four times in Georgia games.
The Vols are coming off a disappointing blowout loss against Missouri and are bound to be fired up and highly motivated against the Bulldogs. Upsetting the No. 1 team in the country is an opportunity for the marquee win the Vols’ season is lacking and would turn a mildly disappointing season into a successful one.
The Bulldogs are not only looking to stay unbeaten on the season but to tie the SEC record for longest ever winning streak at 28 games. Georgia is coming off a pair of home ranked wins, knocking off Missouri and Ole Miss the last two weeks.
Kickoff between the Vols and Bulldogs is at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jenny Dell are on the call for CBS.

I was at the Auburn game 38 years ago. I was a UT fan going to Auburn. You should have mentioned Reggie Cobb’s play in that game. If not for the drugs, he would have probably won the Heisman. Brings back some good memories.
