‘Shall We’: Tennessee Basketball Releases 2023-24 Season Hype Video

Tennessee basketball is less than 24 hours away from opening up the 2023-24 season against Tennessee Tech on Monday night at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.

With the highly anticipated season almost here, Tennessee released its official season hype video on Sunday night.

The video includes highlights from last season’s biggest moments and from the Vols’ exhibition wins over Michigan State and Lenoir-Rhyne. Check it out here.

Expectations are high for Rick Barnes’ ninth Tennessee team. The Vols rank ninth nationally in the preseason AP Poll and the conference’s media picked Tennessee to win the SEC this season.

Tennessee returns a number of key upperclassmen from last season’s Sweet 16 team including Santiago Vescovi, Josiah-Jordan James and Zakai Zeigler. The Vols also added talented transfers Jordan Gainey and Dalton Knecht to the roster over the offseason.

Gainey and Knecht’s scoring prowess was on display in Tennessee’s road exhibition win against No. 4 Michigan State. The duo combined for 48 points in the thrilling matchup.

Tennessee is also looking for bumps in production from second and third-year players Jahmai Mashack, Tobe Awaka and Jonas Aidoo.

Tipoff for the Vols’ season opener against Tennessee Tech is at 6:30 p.m. ET at Thompson-Boling Arena. The game is streaming on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
