Tennessee Football wore Summitt Blue accessories to go along with their traditional orange-and-white home uniforms on Saturday to honor Pat Summitt and raise awareness for Alzheimer’s during Homecoming against the UConn Huskies.
The Volunteers rolled on Saturday, defeating UConn by a score of 59-3 for Josh Heupel’s third 56-point victory while at Tennessee.
Joe Milton III continued his in-season improvement and threw for a 60-yard touchdown and an 82-yard touchdown while also picking up a six-yard rushing touchdown in the first half of the game. Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright broke off an 82-yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage while the Vols’ defense racked up three – yes, three – touchdowns for the first time in program history.
