No. 17 Tennessee found their seventh win of the season after defeating UConn by a score of 59-3 on a sunny afternoon in Knoxville.

The Vols rolled in just about every aspect of the game on Saturday. Quarterback Joe Milton threw an 82-yard and a 60-yard touchdown in the first half while freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava was able to find his first career passing touchdown during the second half of the contest. Tennessee’s defense recorded three touchdowns on Saturday, which is an impressive accomplishment that has not been done at Tennessee dating back to when the program started recording stats in 1949.

Tyler Baron recorded a scoop and score touchdown in the second half while Jaylen McCollough and Aaron Beasley both had a pick-six in the third quarter of play. The Vols’ secondary did have moments of susceptibility in the first half with the Huskies’ passing game but was able to clean things up for the final 30 minutes.

After the game, head coach Josh Heupel met with the media to discuss his reaction to the win. Heupel spoke about Milton and Iamaleava, the impact the turnovers had on the game, Jaylen Wright’s development, and much more.

In addition to Heupel, Tennessee also had five players answer questions. Joe Milton, Tyler Baron, Squirrel White, and Jaylen Wright all had one press conference together while linebacker Aaron Beasley did one on his own.
