Tennessee football is down two linebackers and four players in its two-deep for Saturday afternoon’s homecoming matchup UConn at Neyland Stadium. Keenan Pili, Arion Carter, Andrej Karic and Christian Charles are all inactive against the Huskies.

Pili is missing his eighth straight game since the season opener but Carter is joining him on the inactive list for the first time this season. Elijah Herring will start besides Aaron Beasley as he has since the Austin Peay game while freshman Jeremiah Telander and sophomore Kalib Perry will provide depth.

Andrej Karic returned to the field last week after a multiple week absence but quickly suffered another injury and didn’t return to the game. Ollie Lane will start at left guard against the Huskies.

Safety Christian Charles is out again as he’s been the last month. With the backup safety out, Wesley Walker and Jaylen McCollough will start at safety and Andre Turrentine and Jourdan Thomas will serve as backups.

A number of other Vols are banged up and may not play including running back Jaylen Wright.

Kickoff between Tennessee and UConn is at Neyland Stadium at noon ET. Dave Neal, Derek Mason and Alex Chappell are on the call for the SEC Network.
