The 2023-2024 Tennessee men’s basketball team is wrapping up the preseason slate this week leading up to the Vols’ season opener on Monday, Nov. 6 against Tennessee Tech in Knoxville.
In addition to some exhibition games that Tennessee played in Italy over the summer, the Vols have had two collegiate-level exhibitions this preseason en route to the regular season.
No. 9 Tennessee defeated No. 4 Michigan State in a thrilling contest by a score of 89-88 in East Lansing. Two days later, the Vols returned home to Knoxville and defeated Lenoir-Rhyne by a score of 90-48. Tennessee won both of those games without guards Zakai Zeigler and Santiago Vescovi due to injury recovery and a family absence, respectively.
Vescovi is back with Tennessee this week as the Vols prepare for the season opener.
