NFL Player Props for Will Levis
In his NFL debut, Levis threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns to become the third QB in the history of the game to throw as many in his first start. With only one game for the Steelers to review Levis’ abilities available on the pro level, he could be in for yet another big game.
Will Levis Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+195 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
The Steelers are the fifth worst in rushing yards allowed per game, and the Titans still have one of the best backs in all of football in Derrick Henry. With a rookie under center against a questionable run defense, he will get his fair share of touches. He totaled 22 carries last week against the Falcons and will likely be around that number again in this one.
If the Steelers don’t cheat up, Henry could have a field day. If they do, Levis and offensive coordinator Tim Kelly proved they aren’t afraid and can push the ball deep on play action and shotgun passing plays. Three of Levis’ four touchdowns on Sunday were 33 yards or more, including a 61-yard TD pass to DeAndre Hopkins.
Given the flexibility they have calling plays with Levis, we like his chances of adding two touchdown passes to his resume.
Will Levis Over 204.5 Passing Yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
The Steelers’ passing defense isn’t much better than their rushing defense. They are middle of the pack in passing touchdowns allowed, but they are still a bottom 10 team in passing yards allowed per game, surrendering 245 yards through the air per outing. Although Levis is a rookie, the Steelers aren’t stopping many from covering this number this season. In fact, one of the best passing games this season against the Steelers were at the hands of rookie CJ Stroud, who threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns against them.
Will Levis to Throw Over 0.5 Interceptions (-160 on Caesars Sportsbook)
Game 1 was a fairytale for Levis and Titans fans. He is likely in for another good game, but not without a blemish on the stat sheet. Although defensively challenged, the Steelers do force turnovers, which has helped them significantly to be competitive and win games. They have the second most forced turnovers in the league with 15 and have played one less contest than the first place Jaguars, who have 18.
A large part of their ability to create turnovers is thanks to their pass rush. They are 11th in the league in sacks generated with 22 in seven games. Eight teams with more sacks have played one more game. The Falcons, conversely, are on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. They only have 13 on the season, fourth worst in the NFL.
Without as much time in the pocket against a defense that has historically gotten the better of rookie QBs, we’re taking Levis to toss at least one interception.
