Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media in Knoxville on Thursday morning to give his final preview of the game against Alabama this Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa.
Heupel’s Thursday press conference was short and sweet as he answered questions on a few different topics with the local media. Heupel touched on Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, what the Vols’ pass rush will have to do to be successful in the game, the rivalry between Tennessee and Alabama, and more.
“I just think the fanbase, this is one they’ve circled,” Heupel said about the game on Thursday. “I’ve said it multiple times before I even got introduced at the press conference, a couple of former players but donors too— this is a game that matters to everybody in this fanbase. It matters to us too. It has huge implications on your race to try and get to Atlanta as well. This is a big football game for us, huge test against a really good football team but it’s going to be a great afternoon.”
No. 11 Alabama will host No. 17 Tennessee this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game between the Vols and the Tide will be broadcasted on CBS.
