Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel has routinely lifted up his family during his nearly three-year tenure as the Volunteers’ football coach.
When asked what he would be doing during Tennessee’s open date in early October, Heupel didn’t hesitate with his answer.
“I’m going to get a chance to go watch my son play football Saturday morning and my daughter and I, at some point, will sit down to watch a game or two,” Heupel said.
The Tennessee head coach can routinely be seen throwing the football with his kids out on the field of Neyland Stadium before home games.
After Tennessee defeated Texas A&M on Saturday evening in Knoxville, WBIR’s Karthik Venkataraman captured a video of a heartwarming moment between Heupel and his children.
“Can you believe it?!” Heupel said to his daughter with a big smile, referring to Tennessee winning with only 20 points on the scoreboard. “You haven’t seen one of those in your lifetime!”

From UT Sports:
“[Josh Heupel] and his wife, Dawn, have two children—daughter Hannah and son Jace.”
Tennessee defeated Texas A&M by a score of 20-13 on Saturday to give the Vols their first defensive win under Heupel during his time on Rocky Top. The Vols will now get back to work this week with a tough Top 25 clash against Alabama coming up this weekend in Tuscaloosa.
