How Tennessee’s Outgoing Transfers Fared in Week 5

Each week, we take a look at how Tennessee’s outgoing transfers from the 2023 offseason fared in their new homes.

Let’s take a look at how the former Vols performed in Week 5 of the college football season.

WR Jimmy Calloway –Louisville

Caught two passes for 31 yards in Louisville’s 13-10 win over N.C. State last Friday.

TE Miles Campbell – NC Central

Was not targeted in NC Central’s 49-48 overtime win over Campbell.

WR Jimmy Holiday – Western Kentucky

Caught three passes for 42 yards in the Hilltoppers’ 31-10 win over MTSU.

QB Tayven Jackson – Indiana

Completed 17 of 29 passes for 113 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Indiana’s 44-17 loss to Maryland. Jackson was benched during the game, but seems likely to remain the starter moving forward.

Indiana fired OC Walt Bell, which may lead to more success for Jackson.

WR Nigel Lanier – Grambling State

Lanier did not catch a pass in the Tigers’ 35-20 win over Prairie View A&M.

DL Amari McNeill – Colorado

Logged three tackles, one solo, and 0.5 sack in the Buffaloes’ 48-41 loss to USC.

WR Walker Merrill  – Wake Forest

Wake Forest had their bye week last week.

DB Cameron Miller – Memphis

Did not record a stat in the Tigers’ 35-32 win over Boise State.

LB Juwan Mitchell – Colorado

Recorded two tackles in the Buffaloes’ loss to USC.

DL Jordan Phillips – Maryland

Logged one tackle in the Terrapins’ win over Indiana.

DL Da’Jon Terry – Oklahoma

Did not record a stat in Oklahoma’s 50-20 win over Iowa State.

RB Justin Williams-Thomas – Cal

Did not play in Cal’s 59-32 loss to Washington as he continues to deal with an injury. JWT hasn’t played all season due to the injury but recently posted on an Instagram story that he’s on track to come back soon.

RB Len’Neth Whitehead – Georgia

Did not see time in Georgia’s 27-20 win over Auburn. Whitehead is yet to be utilized at all this season for the Dawgs.
