Tennessee football has landed their first commitment of the 2026 class in ATH Sharroid Whitehead out of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Whitehead took to X on Tuesday evening to share the news.

“Vol Nation I’m coming 🍊 🔥 ,” Whitehead said in his post.
In July, Whitehead shared his top six that did not include Tennessee, but Whitehead received an offer from Tennessee in late August and has now committed.
Whitehead committed to Tennessee over TCU, Florida State, Kansas, Penn State, Oklahoma and UCLA, all of which were in his top six in July.
The current high school sophomore has experience at running back, wide receiver and return specialist already in high school.
It will be a long time before the 5-foot-9, 170-pound Whitehead makes it to campus, but his commitment gets Tennessee’s 2026 class started off on the right foot.
