The NCAAF season is heating up with a few exciting SEC matchups to watch this week.

Ole Miss at Alabama (3:30 p.m. ET on CBS)

Ole Miss is headed to Tuscaloosa this week to take on a vulnerable-looking Alabama on Saturday. This matchup is one of the most anticipated of Week 4, thanks to the fact that both teams are ranked — and closely, too.

Ole Miss is ranked at No. 15, and Alabama at No. 13. It’s a rematch of last year’s battle in Oxford when Alabama won 30-24. But this is a much-reduced version of Alabama than we’re used to. Coach Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide fell out of the top 10 this season for the first time in eight years. The Texas Longhorns beat them at home, 34-24, in Week 2.

DraftKings Sportsbook has set Alabama as the 7-point favorite with a total of 55 points. We’d go for Ole Miss against the spread. Alabama can win it, but the Rebs might keep it close.

Auburn at Texas A&M (Noon ET on ESPN)

Aggies vs. Tigers is a true SEC West battle this weekend.

Texas A&M entered the 2023 season with high hopes and a spot in the AP top 25. The Aggies are now  2-1 after losing to No. 20 Miami, but with a home game on Saturday and the better team overall, oddsmakers expect them to take the win.

Auburn is undefeated, but its schedule has been on the light side, playing UMass, California, and Samford in the first three weeks. California was the toughest matchup as a Power Five team, but now the War Eagles start a brutal run against A&M, Georgia, LSU, and Ole Miss.

Auburn has had a perfect season so far, with a great offensive attack producing 428 total yards per game. And the Aggies’ defense looked a little sour against Miami when they allowed 48 points.

Of course, they followed it up with a 47-3 win against UL Monroe, and QB Conner Weigman has tossed 337 yards per game compared to 130 on the ground. The Aggies’ passing offense is ranked 11th in the nation compared to Auburn’s at 89th.

On Caesars Sportsbook, the Aggies’ have a 7.5-point advantage ATS and the total is set at 51.5.

Arkansas at LSU (7 p.m. ET on ESPN)

On paper, Arkansas and LSU are having the same season so far. At least, both teams are 2-1 going into Week 4.

But that’s where the similarities end. LSU has rebounded in a big way from its opening defeat at the hands of Florida State. The Tigers won 72-10 against Grambling State at home and 41-14 against Mississippi State on the road. Now they return to Death Valley to, more than likely, kill the Razorbacks.

The Tigers are now ranked No. 12 overall and looking a lot more dominant each week.

LSU is far and away the favorite to win this matchup, with a 17.5-point spread on BetMGM Sportsbook. The total is set at 55.5.

A good bet might be to wager on Arkansas against the spread. After all, conference games are more tough mentally and can always have plot twists. But LSU should win this one.
