Tennessee’s coordinators met with the media on Tuesday following the Vols’ 29-16 loss to Florida on the road in Gainesville last Saturday night.
While head coach Josh Heupel did spend some time answering the media’s questions on Monday afternoon, the coordinators were able to shed some more light on their individual sides of the ball on Tuesday.
Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle spoke about a number of topics including his thoughts on quarterback Joe Milton, running back Dylan Sampson, wide receiver Dont’e Thornton, and the offensive unit’s efficiency as a whole.
Defensive coordinator Tim Banks, on the other hand, spoke about Tennessee’s tackling issues on Saturday and detailed what the Vols are able to do in practice and the film room to cut back on those mistakes. Banks also spoke about the pressure that Tennessee is bringing, the secondary, and the leadership on the defensive side of the ball.
In addition to Banks and Halzle, three Tennessee players (Jaylen Wright, Jabari Small, Gabe Jeudy-Lally) also spoke to the media, which can be found here.
