Tennessee Announces Uniforms For SEC Opener At Florida

Tennessee football is wearing its all white uniforms for Saturday night’s SEC opener at Florida, the team announced Thursday morning.

The Vols’ Saturday night showdown at Florida is their first road game of the season. Tennessee enters the rivalry matchup 2-0 with a win in its classic home uniforms and its throwback inspired smokey grey uniforms.

Florida has yet to announced its uniforms for the SEC East showdown. However, Florida is encouraging fans to wear blue for a “blue out” so the Gators figure to wear blue uniforms.

Billy Napier’s second Florida team enters the rivalry matchup 1-1. The Gators dropped their season opener at Utah before dominating McNeese in their home opener last week.

Tennessee is looking for its second straight win in the series after knocking off the Gators 38-33 last season in Knoxville. Josh Heupel’s program is looking for a second consecutive win over Tennessee’s rival and the Vols first win in Gainesville since 2003.

It’s the first meaningful challenge on Tennessee’s schedule which makes it a particularly important game for new starting quarterback Joe Milton III.

Kickoff from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is at 7 p.m. ET Saturday night. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe are on the call for ESPN.

  1. I believe if Tennessee offense plays really good and block the Gators defense and our defense holds Gators offense and doesn’t let them score i believe we should be able to beat them. Tennessee Volunteers needs to play like they used to i say Tennessee Volunteers win by Three points or maybe by two touchdowns
