Okoye has taken a pair of unofficial visits to Tennessee in 2023 with the last visit being a late June unofficial visit. The 6-foot-4, 241-pound pass rusher took an official visit to Texas in June and has taken three visits to Oklahoma in 2023 including an official visit earlier this month.
The four-star hasn’t taken an official visit to Tennessee. Josh Heupel and his staff getting Okoye on campus for another visit is critical in their ability to beat out the home state Sooners for Okoye’s services.
Tennessee football’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains 20 commits including four defensive linemen and three edge rushers. Alabama edge rusher Jordan Ross is Tennessee’s highest ranked commit in its 2024 recruiting class.
The Vols’ 20-commit class ranks No. 7 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
