Tennessee football defeated Austin Peay 30-13 in its home opener Saturday evening at Neyland Stadium. Offense was at a premium in the first half with the Vols and Govs knotted at 6-6 until a Tennessee touchdown broke the tie in the final seconds of the first half.
The Vols marched down the field for a touchdown on their opening drive of the second half to take a two-touchdown game and largely put the contest away.
