The Tennessee Titans named former University of Tennessee long snapper Morgan Cox as one of the team’s captains for the 2023-24 season, the franchise shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) Thursday.
Cox is the Titans’ special teams captains and joins teammates Azeez Al-Shaair, Derrick Henry, Kevin Byard, Ryan Tannehill, Jeffrey Simmons and Aaron Brewer as team captains.

Cox is entering his 14th season in the NFL and his third-year with the Titans’ franchise. The Cordova, Tennessee native joined his home state franchise ahead of the 2021 season after spending the first 11 years of his professional career with the Baltimore Ravens.

The long snapper played at Tennessee from 2005-2009 before going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft and signing with the Ravens.
Since then, Cox has become one of the best long snappers in the NFL. Cox has made five Pro Bowls in his 13-year career including a Super Bowl win in 2013 and First Team All-Pro selection in 2020.
Cox and the Titans open up their 2023-24 season Sunday when they travel to New Orleans to take on new quarterback Derek Carr and the Saints.
