Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media on Thursday morning in Knoxville for his final media appearance before the start of the season this Saturday against Virginia.
With this being Heupel’s seventh press conference since the start of training camp at the beginning of August, just about every topic and conversation has been discussed already at some point after a scrimmage or a practice. Thursday’s press conference included some quick injury updates, talk about the running back’s rotation, an update on the vibe inside the locker room, and other pre-gameday information.
No players were available on Thursday which is the usual for a Tennessee game week media schedule. The team will depart for Nashville on Friday as they prepare for an early season opener on Saturday.
No. 12 Tennessee will take on Virginia at 11:00 a.m. CT/12:00 p.m. ET in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on Saturday. The Vols are a 28-point favorite according to Caesar’s Sportsbook.
