Game week is here. We’re five short days away from Tennessee football opening its 2023 season against Virginia at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The Vols’ official season hype video annually comes out on the Wednesday or Thursday before the start of the season, but Tennessee released an additional hype video Monday morning to open up game week.
Captioned “it’s ‘about to be a movie'” Tennessee’s hype video is movie themed. With different shots of Tennessee’s campus and highlights from the 2022 season, the video has text over it like you would see at the start of a movie.
Examples include. “The University of Tennessee Presents”, “From The Mind Of Josh Heupel”, “Coordinated By Joey Halzle, Tim Banks, Mike Ekeler” and finally the movie’s title: “It’s Football Time In Tennessee”.

Tennessee is looking to build off its resurgent 2022 season in Josh Heupel’s third season as head coach. The Vols lost a number of top contributors from last season’s team including Hendon Hooker, Jalin Hyatt and Darnell Wright.
Still, there’s plenty of talent on Tennessee’s roster and expectations are high for the 2023 Vols.
Tennessee opens up its 2023 season Saturday against Virginia at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Kickoff is at noon ET while ABC is broadcasting the game.
