Jalin Hyatt is still running wide open.

It’s in a new uniform and new stadium with a new team but the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner got loose again Friday night and scored his first career professional touchdown.

After being overthrown on what would have been a long touchdown in the Giants’ preseason debut last week, Hyatt hauled in Tyrod Taylor’s pass right in stride for a 33-yard touchdown. Check out the touchdown here on a nasty double move.

The touchdown wasn’t Hyatt’s only catch in the Giants’ 21-19 win over Carolina but it was by far the most impactful. Hyatt finished the game with four catches for 35 yards.

New York selected the Tennessee standout in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft and hope he can prove to be a reliable weapon for quarterback Daniel Jones after he signed a massive contract extension earlier this offseason.

Hyatt broke on the scene as a surprise NFL Draft candidate after a dominant junior season at Tennessee. The Irmo, South Carolina native caught 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns in the Vols’ resurgent 2023 season.

The slot receiver’s biggest impact was his legendary six catch, 207 yard and five touchdown performance in Tennessee’s win over Alabama.
