Tennessee basketball is hosting four-star class of 2025 forward Tylis Jordan on an unofficial visit on Oct. 14, Stockrisers’ Jake Weingarten first reported Monday morning.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pound wing’s unofficial visit to Tennessee comes the same weekend the Volunteer football team hosts Texas A&M at Neyland Stadium.

Jordan currently holds seven scholarship offers including from SEC schools LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M. However, Tennessee has yet to officially offer Jordan at the time of publication.

A Snellville, Georgia native, Jordan ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 74 player in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. Jordan also ranks as 15th best small forward and the sixth best player in the state of Georgia in his class.

It’s still early in Jordan’s recruitment and the visits he’s taken reflects that. LSU is the only school Jordan has unofficially visited prior to announcing his intentions to visit Tennessee this fall.

Tennessee is still looking for its first commitment in both the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes. Rick Barnes and his staff missed on some of its top targets in the 2024 cycle earlier this summer and are currently laying the groundwork for their top targets in 2025.

In addition to Jordan, Tennessee is hosting four-stars Jeremiah Fears and Jermaine O’Neal Jr. for visits this fall.

Tennessee basketball enters the 2023-24 season with high expectations. Coming off a run to the Sweet 16 a season ago, the Vols added transfers Jordan Gainey and Dalton Knecht to a roster which includes returning starters Zakai Zeigler, Santiago Vescovi and Josiah-Jordan James.
