Betting Preview and Odds for NFL Preseason Game: Titans vs. Bears
The latest news on the Titans vs. Bears matchup is that Tennessee will be facing a number of the Bears’ starters in this preseason game. Bears coach Matt Eberflus told reporters that selected starters will play on Saturday, likely including their QB Justin Fields.
The Titans have not confirmed whether they’ll be putting any starters on the field. Coach Mike Vrabel has confirmed, though, that he’ll be taking a backseat to assistant coach Terrell Williams. Reportedly Vrabel is fine, he just wants to give his assistant a chance to take the lead.
The major players on the Titans lineup this year are, of course, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Derrick Henry, and recently added wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The three will likely not be playing in the preseason game, but with Bears starters on the field, the coaching staff could always pivot.
We’ll more likely see action from the two backup quarterbacks as the Titans have to decide on their bet options going forward. Second-year backup Malik Willis has played well in training camps, and 2023 draft pick Will Levis should have a chance to show his stuff.
Despite the question mark around the lineups, we like a pick on the Titans to cover the spread. They were sub-.500 last season but had a tougher division than the Bears. Of course, a lot can change in the offseason, so this will be a good test for the Titans.
