In between scattered rain storms, Tennessee went to Neyland Stadium for their first scrimmage of the fall camp slate on Thursday morning.

The scrimmage was entirely behind closed doors meaning that the media had no access to what was happening on the field on Thursday. Instead, head coach Josh Heupel spoke to the media for nearly 15 minutes about the scrimmage.

Heupel named players and position groups that he thought did well and gave an injury update to starting center Cooper Mays.

Tennessee will return to the practice field this weekend as the team continues to ramp up to the Sept. 2 season opener against Virginia inside Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
